The governor also said the region was interested in expanding coal exports and the construction of the gas supply infrastructure in remote areas of Sakhalin.
“The possibilities for autonomous gas supply, technologies of natural gas compression and liquefaction are also favorable. Our Korean partners have the chance to become pioneers in the field of autonomous gas supply in Russia,” the governor said.
He said the Sakhalin Region is also offering two projects for the production of building materials: the construction of a cement plant with an annual capacity of 1.05 mln tons of cement and a wood-working facility.
